Goal 1

Students will be able to understand the plight of a refugee and explain the importance why to exhibit empathy and respect to refugees torn from their native countries.

Students will collaborate to analyze the anchor text and supplemental resources (e.g. video clips and articles) to create a dialogue that they will later use individual to create a written understanding and present their poetic analysis to the class.
